CANCELED SALE
Units one and three of the Sparrow Hawk timber sale would have destroyed the heart of a large patch of legacy forest along Waddell Creek in Capitol State Forest. It was originally scheduled for auction in 2025, but eventually got delayed to 2026. After advocacy from LFDC and Thurston County Commissioners, the legacy forest units of the sale totaling 42.78 acres were removed from the project.
