The South Paw timber sale would have clearcut the core of a rare, structurally complex legacy forest on the south side of Tiger Mountain. Originally scheduled for auction in 2023, the sale was repeatedly delayed following strong public opposition. After sustained advocacy from LFDC, community members, and the Snoqualmie Tribe, the legacy forest units totaling roughly 96 acres were ultimately removed from the project, and the sale was cancelled in late 2025.
