The 79-acre More Gooder timber sale threatens to clearcut some of the most ecologically rich and biodiverse legacy forest that LFDC has surveyed in Lewis County. Units 2, 3, and 4 of the proposal would completely erase native stands full of unmarked old-growth Douglas firs, while severely impacting the stream that runs right through the area. During the SEPA review process for More Gooder, representatives from both the Cowlitz and Chehalis Tribes wrote DNR expressing serious concerns about the proposed sale.
