About the event
Located on the ancestral lands of the Snoqualmie Tribe, the “South Paw” timber sale threatens a rare forest ecosystem at the southern end of Tiger Mountain State Forest. This forest is one of the most accessible legacy forests on Tiger Mountain and is home to massive Douglas firs, western redcedars, cottonwoods and more. The timber sale was originally scheduled for auction in 2023, but has since been delayed thanks largely to the Snoqualmie Tribe.
Please join LFDC on Saturday, September 20th to visit the area and raise awareness for our last remaining legacy forests!
