About the event
On the eastern slopes of Blanchard Mountain in Skagit County, the WA Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is planning a series of clearcuts that would obliterate over 120 acres of native forest habitat. The three "fly" timber sales—Mayfly, Damselfly, and Stonefly—pose threats to local wildlife, watershed health, an imperiled lichen species, and the wellbeing of all who value Blanchard State Forest. Join LFDC and our friends from Forest Talks & Forest Walks to learn what the buzz is all about!
