LFDC joins the Center for Responsible Forestry (CRF) for a hike to the rare forest at stake in DNR's Tuckered Out timber sale in Marckworth State Forest. DIFFICULTY: MODERATE 4.5 miles round trip with 700ft of elevation gain

Join LFDC and our friends at the Center for Responsible Forestry as we hike to the cherished legacy forest at stake in DNR's "Tuckered Out" timber sale. Despite objections from the Snoqualmie Tribe, whose ancestral lands the timber sale threatens, DNR seems intent on moving ahead with the logging project. Tuckered Out is currently scheduled for Board approval in November, which means there is still time—though not much—to save the forest! Event Details

Where: We'll meet at the Duvall Park and Ride at 10am
What: 4.5 miles round trip with 700 ft of elevation gain on partially exposed forest roads and overgrown single-track trails, with some brief bushwhacking. Don't forget the 10 essentials!
