About the event

Located on Chehalis territory on the west side of Capitol State Forest, the "Misty" timber sale threatens to clearcut nearly 90 acres of rare, structurally complex forest up to 154 years old. This planned clearcut is among dozens of legacy forest timber sales that former commissioner Hilary Franz and the Board of Natural Resources approved for logging in late 2024.
